Led by multi-instrumentalist Sarah Bolter from ‘Not Just Sax’ & jazz vocalist and trumpeter Karl Charity renowned his Chet Baker style performing songs from the Great American Songbook. With a background performing in the West End having graduated from the Royal College of Music expect some much-loved songs of jazz greats, from the dulcet tones of Chet Baker to the funky jazz sounds of Cole Porter with an All-Star Rhythm section.

Karl Charity studied classical trumpet at college and went on to play mostly in musical show pit bands in London and around the country. Karl is now finding a new audience as a jazz singer and will be making his first recording later in the year.


Sarah Bolter has recorded and played a multitude of different styles of music since taking up the clarinet at the age of 8 and went on to further her music studies as an adult at Southampton University specialising in Jazz and classical saxophone. During this time (2001) her band ‘Not Just Sax’ was formed.


Nick Cooper is a Royal College of Music Graduate who has played at Ronnie Scott’s, 100 Club and the 606 Club with musicians including Alec Dankworth, Digby Fairweather, Pete Long and Dave Green to name a few.


Jo Caleb is a much sought-after guitarist noted for playing a 7 stringed instrument. He has played with Sarah McKenzie, Soweto Kinch, Gary Husband, Robert Mitchell and Anita Wardell to name a few. His lyrical style is reminiscent of the greats like Jim Hall and Kenny Burrell, with a modern twist.


Pete Maxfield joined Sarah’s band in the early days on double bass and they have since recorded six albums together with the most recent being produced by Derek Nash. Pete Maxfield is a highly in demand double bass player who has played and toured with a multitude of top artists including 7 years on tour with Andy Sheppard and his band Sphere.


Killian Madden is rare breed of a drummer who listens and reacts, blending in beautifully. Apart from being much in demand for his drumming skills, Killian is also a music composer and a producer. He has played with many famed professionals and well-known bands.
